My little Miss is getting to be quite the chatty girl.  We were excited when she said Daddy and then a little disappointed when that’s all she would say for months on end…then we got a “Papa” and a “BonBon”…don’t worry Mama doesn’t need you to say “mama” I know you know who I am. I’m the person who fed you for the first three months of your life while getting no sleep, I’m the one you have pooped on in the pediatricians office, I’m the one who makes sure we have Ambesol on tap for those hurting gums…seriously, don’t worry about it, really, you uttering a Mama isn’t anything I need.

Okay, I lied…it’s not okay and it’s about damn time you figured out how to say it!! In the past couple weeks we’ve really come into our own when it comes to words. We do finally say Mama (much to my chagrin) we say nose, eyes, rock, roll, apple, book, amongst others. These however are words we say with meaning because she will point to her nose and say nose or point to our eyes and say eyes.

And last tonight, as we settled in for bed time little Miss clutched her prayer lamb and after the recorded kids voice finished saying the lords prayer Abbey clearly called out “A – MEN” it used to come out as “A-bbey”…oh how far we’ve come!
